Data Retriever allows a user to download a station’s NovaStar5 data for a specified date range. The user can select the station, data type, and interval type for the chosen time period.
This application is particularly useful for extracting large chunks of data to use in analysis, research, and data-backed environmental decision-making.
Data Retriever is powered by NovaStar5 data and NovaStar data REST Web Services. The result is an application which is user-friendly and highly functional for downloading specific variables of environmental data.
How it works: Data Retriever obtains data from the NovaStar database using Data Web Services and immediately presents a list of available time series.
Control panels allow completely customizable selection of time series retrieval as well as download options (see below).
Filtering the time series to pinpoint data is quickly accomplished by entering any portion of an ID or name, selecting the desired data type or data interval, or simply using the global filter.
After selecting one or more time series, data can be downloaded in the specified format and period of record.
Data can then be used for any purpose: analysis, research, publishing, or internal-facing documentation.
